Pre Order Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 Tablet
Microsoft has opened pre-ordering for their recently launched Surface Pro 3 tablet. Available in the following markets: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the U.S. and the UK.
Orders can be placed via the Microsoft store, and can be yours for a low price of $799. Available in the 64GB Intel Core i3 model, the 256GB variant of the Intel Core i7 model, the same model is available as well with 512GB of storage. According to Microsoft, the Surface Pro 3 tablet can replace the laptop, with its 12-inch screen, 9.1 mm thick body that weighs a mere 798 grams without the keyboard.
The Surface Pro 3 comes with a pen. Yes, a pen! Not to be confused with the stylus. Working like a normal pen, when paired with the tablet, it is an experience that Microsoft spent a lot of time perfecting; paying attention to little things like the lag between the writing and the ink appearing on your tablet. A good idea for all note-takers, the pen includes a button that will launch OneNote and turn on the screen. “Click” your pen and you have your Surface Pro as a notepad. Click the pen again; the tab goes into the cloud via One Drive.
The Surface Pro 3 is currently the lightest Intel Core product on the market, even with the cover. Competing not only with other tabs, but with laptops as well, the Surface Pro 3 is designed as the one device for your backpack. Instead of professionals turning to Macbooks for their battery life, Microsoft wants professionals to choose the Surface Pro 3.
No word from Microsoft when the device will be available on the South African market. Prices range from $999 to $1 949. The Core i7 and the Core i3 model will be available for shipping from August 31. While the 128GB and 256GB Intel i5 models will be ready for shipping around June.
