Google Glass Gets Fancy New Frames and Shades
Eight new shades and five new frames are now available through the Google Glass website and Net-a-Porter. Google Glass has announced a fashionable new collection of frames and shades for their glasses.
Working together with American-great, fashion designer, Diane von Frustenburg, the glasses are called the DVF | Made For Glass collection. The collection will have a vary of colours, and will include a grey, rainbow-hued and a brown option,. The glasses will sport a DVF logo in the corner, similar to sunglasses from brands like as Ray-Ban.
This latest collection of frames, adds to the ever-increasing Google Glasses’ collection. In January, Google’s Titanium Collection was launched, and in March, Google announced its partnership with Luxottica. The partnership is expected to eventually yield Ray-Ban and Oakley-branded frames and shades for Glass.
The price for Google Glass with the new prescriptive lenses will be a little bit higher than what we’ve come to expect. According to reports, Glass with DVF-branded shades will come in at a suggested retail price of $1,620.
