Apples latest iPad
Apple Inc has always been about being a technology giant with an innovative ability and the latest iPad speaks right into that characteristic. The new offering which is conveniently named “the new iPad” has been released around the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Switzerland and the US Virgin Islands markets but would only reach the African market at a later stage and consumers in 25 more countries which includes Mexico, New Zealand and Spain will get access by the end of march 2014.
But perhaps the biggest question that needs an answer right now is how different is the latest iPad from the iPad 2. One of the defining differences is the Retina display. This new display delivers 3.1 million pixels which is four-time more than the iPad 2 and more than one million more pixels than on an HD TV set. The implication is that video will have support for 1080p movies which is the highest quality. The “new iPad” also supports long-term evolution (4G LTE) networks which enables broadband like speeds through cellular connectivity. The camera upgrade up to 5 megapixel can also not be ignored, this gives the iPad ability to shoot 1080p video from the previous 720p. The camera also has image stabilisation. The A5X chip with quad-core graphics also delivers faster and smoother video game performance.
With prices of $399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model and $529 for the 16GB Wi-Fi+3G model, this is a must have gadget.
