Amazon’s Rumored 3D Smartphone May Radically Change E-Commerce
Set to redefine e-commerce, Amazon’s rumoured 3D Smartphone may at first, seems gimmicky. A picture, recently leaked on the internet shows a smartphone that looks like any of the devices currently on the market. Possessing five cameras, the device has the typical front-facing camera for selfies and video messaging, plus four other cameras.
The four additional cameras supposedly give the phone 3D capabilities that don’t require special glasses and are beyond anything yet seen on a Smartphone. According to the leak, the phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor of as yet undetermined speed and 2 GBs of RAM, as well as a run on an operating system, no different to the system found on Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablets – a forked version of Android. With a 4.7 inch screen, the device’s display is smaller than the average Smartphones currently on the market. The Amazon display’s 720p HD resolution also pales compared to 1080p HD found in other phones.
No official word has been forthcoming from Amazon. According to analysts and reports, if indeed Amazon does incorporate 3D technology into their device, it is likely aimed at sweetening the company’s prime mission: selling goods to people.
